Voss Metals was established in 1982 as a high alloy metal supplier and scrap processor.  Dave Voss graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.S. in Engineering Sciences in 1977 and received a M.S. in Metallurgy and Materials Science in 1979 from Case Western Reserve University.  Dave sold Kevex X-ray analyzers to the high alloy metals industry and worked as a metals trader before starting Voss Metals in 1982.  Dave has spent the last 20 years working in the scrap industry and getting to know the high alloy melt operations throughout North America.

Our facility includes 2 buildings with approximately 15,000 sq ft. of warehouse space on 1.5 acres.  We have two alligator shears for downsizing metal to customer specification, a hammermill for crushing of solids and turnings as well as a briquetter for compacting clips and turnings.

Our Kevex 6600 and 6700 allows us to analyze 18 elements in 5 seconds!

More importantly, our experienced staff uses its metals expertise to foresee problems with metals and scrap before they get to our customer.  Kevin Jacobs, the plant manager, has 23 years of experience in the high alloy scrap industry.  He is an expert in tool steel scrap, heat treat scrap and foundry / mill melt techniques.  Kevin personally wrote and implemented the Voss Metals Quality Manual to comply with ISO 9002 standards.  Dave and Kevin oversee every shipment and sortation performed at Voss Metals.
